SMART control your Energy Consumption
Ever left a heater on, an air conditioner or your underfloor heating and gone to work or left your home for holiday? Wouldn’t it be great if you could get an alert that your device is on or better still turn off the device in an instant from your mobile phone.
At HayMacs we like to enable things one step further by proactively monitoring and controlling your devices to optimise for better power consumption. This is to reduce energy consumption, reduce One’s bills and to contribute to the reduction of polluting emissions to our World.
HayMacs’ main product offering is an AI (Artificial Intelligence) system that manages switching off power consuming devices to help better manage energy consumption. HayMacs service is called EnergySense.
The solution requires some smart devices to be installed in the dwelling. These range from smart light switches, IR remote controls for items like TV or Aircon units, smart plug sockets, or even HVAC controls. The system utilises motion or presence data that is gathered along with other environmental information such as room temperature or door open status to name a few. This information is used to build a behavioural pattern of the occupants.
Over time, the AI EnergySense solution builds a predictive model that promotes opportunities to switch off devices to save money. For example, someone leaves on air conditioning unit in their office room, however, that room tends to not be an occupied room for long periods of the day. EnergySense may suggest an opportunity to switch off the air-conditioning unit to save energy. All the time the overall energy consumption of the property is measured (level of granularity depends on the smart home installation). The most basic installation of the energy monitor is to measure the household overall energy consumption via the main electricity consumer unit. The energy solution is one that can be expanded as the client so wishes by adding more sensors and smart switches to their home.
We currently integrate with smart home technology providers including AJAX security system, Sonoff, Tuya and most Zigbee based smart devices.

The first thing we recommend is to place sensors in key rooms in your home. For example, motion sensors, door sensors, and temperature sensors. These sensors enable the personalization of your preferences for a comfortable living environment.

Our roadmap consists of a few items we feel are a priority. These include the integration with energy companies’ smart energy meters, to integrate with Matter based devices as more of these become available in the smart home market and later discussing with other mainstream smart home device suppliers. We continue to have a novel solution and believe these companies would see the benefits of integration with our EnergySense solution rather than having to invest and develop the technology themselves.

Some situations where the HayMacs EnergySense Solution can help;
1 – Switch on our EnergySense subscription service which is available by signing up on HayMacs.com. The EnergySense solution then starts to monitor your preferences (temperature for example), behaviour (motion in key rooms for example) and then proactively manages your smart devices to optimize your energy consumption, thus ultimately helping to reduce your energy bill.
2 – When you go on holiday; get notified of the temperature or any motion events in your property. The ability to put your home into ‘Away’ mode and either trigger lights to provide a façade that you are still there or put the home into low power consumption mode – switch off devices in standby mode for example.
3 – Have elderly family members and want to be able to control devices to help them or monitor that they are OK.
Situations where Water Flow Management is Beneficial
Situations where the HayMacs AquaSense Solution can help;
1 – When you go on holiday; get notified that there is a leak in your property and shut off water supply to reduce damage.
2 – Have elderly family members and want to be able to switch of their water main feed Stopcock valve without having to travel to their home
3 – Landlord with a Tenant that does not know where the mains water stopcock is located. Switch of the water remotely should you be alerted that there is a leak in your property.
4 – Installed in Apartment and Flats – lots of damage can be caused by an apartment water flood running into adjacent to apartments below. Activate water stop valve remotely.
